Funeral Services Held for Everman Police Officer and Mother Who Died From COVID-19

EVERMAN (WBAP/KLIF) – Family, friends and colleagues gathered at a funeral service Thursday to honor the life of the Everman police officer and his mother who died from COVID-19  within days of each other last month.

Officer Alex Arango contracted COVID-19 while on duty. His mother Carmen Arango lived with him and became infected.

They were hospitalized at the same time and died three days apart.

Officer Arango’s final patrol passed through the City of Everman at 8 a.m. this morning and ended at The Potter’s House Church in Dallas at 11 a.m.

Attendance for the service was limited to family, friends, law enforcement and first responders.
