DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – Dallas County reported hundreds of new coronavirus cases from Saturday to Sunday.  The county reported 433 new cases as of Sunday, with four additional deaths.

That breaks down to 410 new positive coronavirus cases, 23 older cases, and 15 probable cases.  Of the four deaths, there was a man and woman in their 90’s who were both residents of a long-term care facility in Dallas. One was a woman in her 70’s, who also lived at a Dallas long-term care facility, and one was a man in his 50’s, who lived in Garland.

More than two-thirds of those hospitalized since the pandemic began have been under 65 years old. The Texas Department of Health and Human Services reported that diabetes has been an underlying high-risk health condition in about 33% of those requiring hospitalizations. And roughly 24% of deaths in Texas have been associated with long-term care facilities.
