FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF NEWS)- Tarrant County residents will have to hold on to their masks for a while longer.
Both Tarrant County and Fort Worth have extended mask requirements as COVID-19 continues to spread.
“If we can just stay the course from now until maybe the end of September…hopefully we can really flatten this thing out and begin to move back toward normal,” said Tarrant County Judge Glen Whitley on WFAA-TV.
Under the order, businesses are required to adopt a health a safety policy which required employees and customers to wear face coverings. Businesses that don’t comply could face a fine of up to $500.
Tarrant County’s order has been extended through November 30th while Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price along with the city council voted to extend the cities order to December 1st.
Tarrant County reported just over 400 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday.
