DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – According to Dallas County leaders, the county and the City of Dallas are canceling a contract with the company operating the COVID-19 testing site at Eastfield College.
Washington-based Honu Management Group was audited by the City of Dallas earlier this month following complaints about the timeliness of its test results. According to the county, tests results on average were returned after six days. The company reportedly agreed to a three day turnaround when the contract was made final.
County staff and the Commissioners Court are now considering whether or to pay the company following what could’ve been breach of contract.
“In the contract it said they would provide results withing 72 hours,” a staff member said.
“And that didn’t happen,” Commissioners interjected.
Honu will operate the Eastfield College test site through the end of the month when Parkland will take over running the testing.
