AUSTIN (WBAP/KLIF NEWS)- Those who have loved ones in nursing homes are receiving some good news.
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission announced Thursday they will be allowing limited visitation for nursing facilities and long-term care facilities but their are rules and regulations.
For nursing facilities, public visitation is limited to the outdoors. In addition, the facility must have no confirmed or active cases of COVID-19. Facility staff will be tested weekly.
Long-term care facilities will allow limited indoor and outdoor visitation but not physical contact between residents and visitors. The facility must have no active cases of the virus and must have had no positive staff members in the last 14 days.
