COVID-19 On The Rise at Mexican Border

(WBAP/KLIF) — COVID-19 is on the rise along the Texas-Mexico border.  As Coronavirus cases have slightly fallen in the Metroplex, health officials in Texas counties along the Mexico border are concerned.

Starr county Judge Eloy Vera indicated his county is in danger of losing control of the health crisis. Vera is considering a stay-at-home recommendation this week, similar to one issued in Hidalgo county, Monday.

More than 9,300 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Texas, Tuesday, with a death toll of 131.
