DALLAS – WBAP/KLIF – North Texas appears to stay on track for a growing second wave of the Covid 19 pandemic virus, with new case numbers Saturday showing at least a doubling from only two weeks prior.
Dallas County Saturday reported 395 new cases of Covid 19, and two additional deaths. Tarrant County reports 180 new cases, and the county’s 208th death.
Denton County reports 59 new cases.
Officials had feared a spike in cases following the Memorial Day weekend, in which it was feared many families or friends would gather for the first time since the pandemic and self isolation requiring social distancing had begun. The new fear rests with the future health of thousands of protesters across North Texas, protesting the police related death of George Floyd/
