Dallas Runners Dedicate 2.23 Miles to Ahmaud Arbery

Nick Marino speaks to fellow runners at Victory Plaza in downtown Dallas

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF NEWS)- Citizens across the nation have been running to show their support for the loved ones of Ahmaud Arbery, who was murdered by two white men in February while jogging in his Georgia neighborhood.

Dallas citizen Nick Marino organized a downtown Dallas run starting at victory plaza.

“We’re out her for one major reason and it’s not just Ahmad it’s every single individual who has been killed in vain because of their race,” said Marino.

The run was 2.23 miles long, that number referring to February 23rd, the day Aurbery lost his life. The run also took place on what would have been his 26th birthday.
