DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – Fort Worth ISD Seniors who are scheduled to graduate this year are getting a treat for graduation with the help of Facebook and Instagram. Per a Fort Worth ISD Press Release:
“Seniors are asked to say who they are and where they are from and give a shout out to their high school. Parents and teachers are encouraged express pride in their students or share a few words of wisdom for the graduates.”
“On Friday, May 15, Facebook and Instagram will proudly present an event to honor the incredible Class of 2020 and we are inviting schools across the country to be a part of it,” said Matt Sexton, Community Development Regional Manager for Facebook, who personally extended the invitation to FWISD seniors and their families and teachers.
This multi-hour streaming event will feature a commencement address by Oprah Winfrey, along with special tributes to the graduates from Awkwafina, Jennifer Garner, Lil Nas X, and Simone Biles, to name a few.
