Dallas Cowboys DE Donovan Ezeiruaku arrested on reckless driving charge, report shows

The 22-year-old rookie was selected by the Cowboys in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

FRISCO, Texas — Dallas Cowboys Defensive End Donovan Ezeiruaku was arrested Sunday and charged with reckless driving in Frisco, Collin County jail records show.

According to a statement from the Texas Department of Public Safety sent to NFL Network reporter Jane Slater, a trooper saw a vehicle being driven recklessly at about 11:54 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the Dallas North Tollway in Plano, leading to Ezeiruaku’s arrest.

In a statement, the Dallas Cowboys said they are aware of the arrest but did not comment further.

Ezeiruaku, 22, is an NFL rookie, having been selected by the Cowboys in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

While playing for Boston College, Ezeiruaku won the Ted Hendricks Award in 2024, which is given to the top defensive end in college football every year. He was also a consensus All-American, first-team All-ACC and the ACC Defensive Player of the Year in 2024.

In his first season as a Cowboy, Ezeiruaku had 40 tackles, one sack and one forced fumble.
