The DART Station Near the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center is Closing

(WBAP/KLIF) – DALLAS, TX – On Monday, the DART Convention Center station on South Lamar Street and Memorial Drive is closing for several years. It’s part of the city’s redevelopment plan for the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. Even though DART trains will still pass by the station, they will no longer be stopping at the convention center. Riders will be directed to nearby stops at Cedars and Union Station. Several bus routes will also detour around the construction area at the convention center.
