KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — Ukrainian officials say Russia launched a massive drone and missile attack across Ukraine, killing at least five people. The attack came a day after U.S. President Donald Trump put his planned meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin on hold, saying he didn’t want it to be a “waste of time.” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has been unsuccessfully trying to strengthen Ukraine’s position by seeking long-range Tomahawk missiles from the United States. The large-scale overnight aerial attack targeted Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital, and the wider Kyiv region, as well as other cities in the counry, including Zaporizhzhia and the port city of Izmail in the southern Odesa region.
