CHARLOTTE (AP) — The Dallas Cowboys continue to struggle on defense, losing to the Carolina Panthers 30-27 on Sunday. The Cowboys allowed 410 yards and failed to stop the Panthers’ final drive, which ended with a winning field goal. Former Cowboys running back Rico Dowdle had a standout performance, rushing for 183 yards. Bryce Young threw for 199 yards and three touchdowns, picking apart the Dallas defense. The Cowboys have now given up at least 30 points in four of six games. Coach Brian Schottenheimer emphasized the need for improvement, especially at the line of scrimmage.
