WASHINGTON (AP) — AstraZeneca has agreed to lower prescription drug costs for Medicaid under a deal with the Trump administration. Announced Friday, the agreement involves AstraZeneca offering most-favored-nation pricing — matching the lowest prices in other developed nations. This follows a similar deal by Pfizer that Trump announced last month. Both agreements build on an executive order signed by Trump in May, urging drugmakers to lower prices or face government limits. AstraZeneca also announced a $4.5 billion investment in a new manufacturing plant in Virginia, part of a $50 billion U.S. investment plan by 2030.
