Texas Instruments Has Plans to Lay Off Workers

(WBAP/KLIF) – DALLAS, TX – According to a notice filed with the Texas Workforce Commission, the Dallas-based company is laying off 163 of its North Texas employees this December. Another 20 employees are scheduled to be let go in April of 2026.

Texas Instruments employs about 34,000 people worldwide. Despite the planned layoffs, the company recently expanded in North Texas. Last June, Texas Instruments announced that it was pouring $40 billion dollars into a new plant in Sherman and investing $6 billion dollars at their plant in Richardson.
