TOKYO (AP) — A major Japanese beverage producer has been hit by a cyberattack this week which has disrupted shipments and operations. Asahi Group Holdings says its computer systems were attacked on Monday, affecting orders, shipments, and a customer call center. A company spokeswoman told The Associated Press on Friday that the issue remains unresolved, though some emergency shipments were made on Wednesday. The cause and motive of the attack are still under investigation. Overseas systems were not affected. It’s unclear when the system will be fully restored. Some Japanese media reports suggest ransomware, but Asahi declined to comment.
