(WBAP/KLIF) – MCKINNEY, TX – House Bill 42-11 will ban residential property developments from creating what state leaders call Sharia compounds. Supporters have stated that the new law prevents communities from being governed by religious rules, including restricting what products can be sold in stores. However Muslim leaders and developers argue that projects like Epic City are designed as open master planned communities and still have to follow state and federal law.
