DEIR AL BALAH, Gaza Strip (AP) — Witnesses and Gaza hospital officials say Israeli troops have killed at least 32 Palestinians near aid distribution hubs in the latest deadly violence around people seeking desperately needed food. Saturday’s shootings occurred near sites run by the U.S.- and Israeli-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation. A hospital official said that most victims were shot in the head or chest. GHF denies involvement. It says said that the shootings happened before their sites opened. Israel’s military says it only fires warning shots if crowds get too close to its forces. Gaza’s population of more than 2 million Palestinians are in a catastrophic humanitarian crisis after 21 months of war.
