Ken Paxton is Leading a Coalition of 19 States to Challenge a Decision by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission

(WBAP/KLIF) – AUSTIN, TX – FERC Order 1920, which was issued last may, grants electrical grid oversight to the federal energy regulatory commission. Paxton argues that the order damages the ability of states to regulate their electric grids efficiently, and that it forces the states and their ratepayers to subsidize large-scale transmission lines to support renewable green energy. The attorney general also argues that these regional transmission lines don’t transport enough energy to justify the cost, and that the new ruling from the commission will drive up rates for consumers.
