ARLINGTON (WBAP/KLIF) – The University of Texas at Arlington is joining several other organizations hosting a public watch party of the Total Solar Eclipse on Monday, April 8th.
Jeff Carlton with UTA says there will be plenty to do while waiting for darkness to descend over North Texas for a little over three minutes.
“We’ve got food trucks and we’ve got some amplified sound going on,” Carlton said.
“We’ll be playing at UTA radio program that features interviews with a lot of our faculty experts,” Carlton said.
UTA will charge $10 for parking.
The eclipse is predicted to reach totality around 1:40pm Monday afternoon across the DFW Metroplex.
