Dallas City Councilwoman Cara Mendelsohn’s Home Vandalized

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News ) – A Dallas city councilwoman said her home was vandalized with graffiti over the weekend.

In a social media post on X (formerly Twitter) Sunday morning, District 12’s Cara Mendelsohn said she believes she was targeted because she is Jewish.

She said in addition to the words “baby killer” spray painted in red across her fence, a pile of rocks and bricks representing fake dead babies were also left at her home.

Mendelsohn said some of the red triangle symbols painted are tied to support for Palestine.

“It’s unimaginable to me how our country has changed in the last 40 years. Folks, you’re going to need to stop sitting on the sidelines thinking everything will be ok. Things are not ok,” she wrote.

According to the Anti-Defamation League, anti-Semitic incidents have more than tripled nationwide since the Israel Hamas war began last October.

Dallas police and the FBI are investigating.
