(WBAP/KLIF) — Dallas County hires a familiar North Texas face as elections administrator.

Earlier this year, Tarrant County Elections Administrator Heider Garcia resigned over differences with County Judge Tim O’Hare. Now, Garcia has been hired to be the Dallas County Elections Administrator. Garcia replaces the retiring Michael Scarpello. Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins mentioned that former Secretary of State John Scott said Garcia is the prototype for an elections administrator.
Garcia will assume his new role on December 20th.
