Raising Cane’s to Donate 15% of Profits on Aug. 17 to Maui Relief Efforts

Plano (WBAP/KLIF) – The popular fast-food chicken joint is stepping up to help the Maui relief effort. Raising Cane’s will donate 15-percent of profits Thursday, August 17 to a homeless housing center in the city of Lahaina. The Ka Hale A Ke Ola Homeless Resource Center (KHAKO) is a 78-unit facility that was destroyed in the fire. The fire which broke out last Tuesday has killed at least 106 people and destroyed thousands of other homes and businesses. The death toll is expected to rise.

Raising Cane’s is known for charitable giving. In recent years the company which has a headquaters in Plano has given tens of millions of dollars to businesses that were struggling during the pandemic. and founder Todd Graves has also committed monies to schools, non profits and more.
