(WBAP/KLIF) – The Texas Rangers have added a new pitcher to their lineup.
On Saturday afternoon, the Rangers acquired Max Scherzer from the New York Mets. Scherzer is a right handed pitcher who has has struck out 121 and walked 30 in 107 innings.
In exchange for Scherzer, the Mets will receive future prospects from the Rangers, who some experts say have one of the best farm systems in the American league.
Currently the Rangers are in first place in the AL-west, and are two games ahead of the Houston Astros.
