Stockholm, Sweden (WBAP/KLIF0 – In Stockholm, sweden Saturday iconic singer Elton John closed out his 300-city ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour’ After five decades of entertaining audiences around the world, Elton John took his final bow as a touring artist.
In front of uproarious crowds at Stockholm’s Tele2 Arena, the ‘Rocket Man’ said, “When we set off on my final tour in 2018, I couldn’t have foreseen in my wildest dreams the twists and turns and the highs and lows this tour — and the whole world — would have experienced in the next five years. The tour launched in 2018 and was slated to wrap up in 2021 but was disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
He continued, “Tonight has been magical. I’m trying to process it, and I don’t think it will sink in for a while yet that I’ve finally finished touring. I can’t tell you how much I’m going to miss the fans and how much their support has humbled me — it will stay with me forever.”
The beloved 76-year-old songwriter/singer closed out the show with 1973 hit ‘Good-bye Yellow Brick Road’.
