DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News ) – There’s a tragic update amid the investigation into who fired the shot that hit a 7-year-old boy while in his bed Sunday night.
Dallas police said Kyrie Barnes has died.
Investigators determined the gunfire came from outside his home at an apartment complex in the 8000 block of Rothington Road just west of Buckner Boulevard.
No one else inside the apartment was injured.
The child was taken to the hospital in critical condition and died of his injuries on Thursday. So far, there are no details on any suspect or suspects.
Kyrie’s family released his photo in hopes that anyone with information about the shooting will come forward.
