(WBAP/KLIF) – The National Weather Service has posted a Heat Advisory for north Texas this Monday and Tuesday, including the Dallas – Fort Worth metroplex. Temperatures will climb into the 100s every day this week.
Expect Heat Index Values to be between 105° and 110° Monday and Tuesday. The current Heat Advisory will be in place for North Texas until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, and will likely be around most of this week. While the humidity may decrease a bit mid to late week, temps will be higher so heat index values will continue to be similar. Excessive Heat Warnings are in place east and west of North Texas where heat index values could be 110° or hotter. Outside activity can be dangerous if you are not properly prepared.Itis critical to find time to take breaks, and drink lots of water.
Some relief may be on the horizon for 4th of July weekend with a return of “cooler” temps and rain chances.
