FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF) – Another North Texas city is investigating a hack on its city website.
According to the City of Fort Worth, the data posted online on Friday came from an internal information system, not the city website.
“We have found no indication that there has been sensitive information related to businesses, residents, or employees that has been released in this incident, said IT Solutions Director, Kevin Gunn.
Gunn said the information gathered by hackers was “not sensitive in nature” and was the type of information the city would release through public information act requests.
The City of Dallas is still dealing with the impacts of a ransomware attack earlier this year.
