Wise County, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – A former Wise County man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a gruesome discovery at his former residence near Decatur.

45-year old Robert Morairity faces multiple charges in connection with the deaths of his wife, 42-year old Kimberly Kllum and their oldest daughter who was 11. Their badly decomposed bodies were found in the garage of the home two days after the woman’s brother-in-law called authorities to report that he hadn’t seen her or the girl for months.

After sheriff’s deputies went to the home and deemed it to be abandoned, they were able to track down Morairity and the couple’s two other children in Dallas.

Our media partner, WFAA-TV reports that Morairity first told law enforcement that he had not seen his wife and oldest daughter for months. Hater confessed to killing them and led authorities to the garage where he had hid the bodies.

Wise County Sheriff Lane Akin told the station that the bodies had been there for 5 or 6 months; and that family members delayed calling authorities because they were reportedly “scared to death” of Morairity.

Sheriff Akin said the bodies are so decayed that it may be difficult to determine the cause of death but two knifes were found in the garage as well as drugs.

The daughter had not been enrolled in school since 2022. The other children are now in child protective custody.

Morairity is in the Wise County Jail on $800,000 bond. He’s charged with tampering with a corpse, murder and capital murder.

There is no word on a motive.
