PARKER COUNTY (WBAP/KLIF News ) – Strong winds from the severe storms that swept across North Texas Friday morning overturned several recreational vehicles in northern Parker County, leaving some residents briefly trapped inside.

The Parker County Fire Department reported an RV overturned with two people inside in the 4900 block of Lone Star Road, just west of Poolville.

A second RV was toppled over in the 2500 block of Bounty Road, southwest of Whitt.

Parker County Fire Chief Stephen Watson said crews responded quickly as rain and thunderstorms pounded the area.

“We had two RVs that were being used as permanent residences that were overturned with the individuals trapped inside. We extricated a total of five people that were trapped inside,” he said.

Two people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A Tornado Warning had been in effect for northeast Parker County and southeast Wise County until 5:30 a.m.

According to our media partner WFAA TV, the Oak Tree Baptist Church in Poolville has a hole in its roof and the steeple was ripped off by strong winds.
