Amber Alert – CANCELLED

ROYSE CITY (WBAP/KLIF) – The missing child, Jordan Sangbong has been recovered and the Amber Alert has been cancelled. After the Amber Alert was issued, an attorney working with the father, Daddy Sangbong, contacted the Royse City Police Department and agreed to turn in Mr. Sangbong. The subjects came to the police department and Daddy Sangbong was placed under arrest without incident. The missing child, Jordan Sangbong, was not with the father at the time of the arrest. Later, a family member brought Jordan Sangbong to the Royse City Police Department. The child is in good condition, unharmed and has been turned over to Child Protective Services.

An Amber Alert has been issued for Jordan Sangbong, a two-year-old, black male from Royse City, TX. The child is in the company of his father, Daddy Noah Sangbong. On Wednesday, March 15, 2023, the Royse City Police Department and Child Protective Services were investigating an allegation that Daddy Sangbong had physically assaulted another one of his children, a six-year-old male. The six-year-old child was taken into protective custody during the investigation.

A determination was made by CPS to remove the two-year-old child from the home as well. When officers and CPS arrived at the home on Mohan Street in Royse City the father fled on foot with the child just prior to their arrival. A search of the area was conducted. The father and the child could not be located and their whereabouts are still unknown.

An arrest warrant for Injury to a Child, a third-degree felony has been issued for the father, Daddy Sangbong. The Royse City Police Department has reason to believe the two-year-old child may be in danger and is asking for assistance from anyone who may have information regarding the location of the child.
