Irving (WBAP/KLIF) _ The Irving Police Department is looking for possible victims of a former resident who is accused of continuous sexual abuse of a child.
69-year old Averil Cardwell was arrested last August after a 21-year-old woman alleged that he abused her for many years starting at age three. Since then four victims have been identified, dating back to 1986.
Anyone whose child could have interacted with Cardwell is encouraged to contact the Irving POlice Department at (972) 273-1010.
He was longtime resident of Irving before moving to Cedar Hill. At some point Cardwell bonded out of jail and he is not in police custody at this time.
