[VIDEO] Stranded Southwest Passengers Threatened With Arrest for Trespassing at Nashville Airport

Nashville, TN (WBAP/KLIF) – A video has gone viral of a Nashville International Airport police officer allegedly threatening to arrest a group of stranded Southwest passengers who were reportedly standing in line trying to get information about re-booking their flights.

The officer is heard telling the group to move to the “unsecured side” if they don’t have a ticket or be arrested for trespassing.

In a video, posted on Tuesday by former Tennessee state house candidate Brad Batt, shocked passengers try to explain that they no longer have valid tickets for the nearby gate because of cancellations.

The officer is heard saying that if their flights were canceled then they no longer have a ticket.

One woman is heard saying, “Are you kidding me?” She also asks another bystanding if they are recording the encounter.

The officer also says in the video that Southwest had called for their assistance, telling the frustrated passengers, “Right now, to the unsecured side. The ticket counter will help you with any questions you have. You have no ticket. You don’t need to be in the secured side. Let’s go.”
