
The judge in the case said there is no combination of conditions that would “reasonably ensure the safety” of the community if Dr. Raynaldo Rivera Ortiz Jr is let out on bail.
Ortiz is jailed accused of injecting heart-stopping drugs into IV bags that were used on patients he was not treating at a Baylor Scott and White Surgicare in North Dallas.
It’s believed at least one death and multiple heart emergencies occurred because of his actions.
