Dallas County Opens Two Disaster Loan Centers for Help with August Flood Damage

Dallas-Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – Beginning today [Monday] Sept. 19 the Small Business Administration will open two disaster loan outreach centers in Dallas County.

The SBA loans are for those in Dallas county and surrounding counties – Tarrant, Ellis, or Collin – – impacted by severe storms and flooding on August 22 through 25.

The locations are the Samuell-Grand Recreation Center 6200 East Grand Ave. in Dallas and the Balch Springs Recreation Department at 4372 Shepherd Lane.

  • Debris Removal: Texas Baptist Men are supporting homeowners with the removal of damaged personal property and drywall/flooring, etc., and disinfecting affected areas with Shockwave to prevent mold. Residents can request assistance online at https://www.tbmtx.org/dfw
  • Reporting Damages: Homeowners, renters, or businesses impacted by severe weather may use the QR code to report their damages through the Texas Department of Emergency Management’s iSTAT tool. Visit https://damage.tdem.texas.gov/
  • Local Emergency Management Offices: Contact your local Emergency Management Office for additional resources listed here.
