North Fort Worth: Drive-by shooting kills 5 & 17-year olds

Fort Worth, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – A double fatality drive by shooting in north Fort Worth claimed two young lives Sunday afternoon.

Police say a 5-year-old and 17-year old were killed shortly after 2pm when gunmen in a vehicle shot in the front yard of a home. An 18-month-old was also injured and is expected to survive. The incident happened on Steel Dust Drive just east of Pioneer Stadium.

Fort Worth Police Chief Niel Noakes called the situation a tragedy; residents in the community are shock. A motive is not known. The suspects are still on the loose. An investigation continues.

Meantime in a separate shooting incident, a domestic disturbance in east Fort Worth last night left the boyfriend of the suspect’s estranged wife dead. The suspect stayed on the scene and was arrested.
