DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – CPAC 2022 opened Thursday at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas for what will be a three day conference.
Conservatives from across the country made the trip to North Texas to build momentum ahead of the upcoming November midterm elections.
“We went to Florida and we came back fired up,” said a woman who drove to Dallas for CPAC from Beaumont. “We want to take this back to our hometown and fire up everyone because we are very involved in our elections.”
Texas Governor Greg Abbott, Papa John, and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban were among Thursday speakers. Senator Ted Cruz, Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves, and other conservative leaders are scheduled to speak on Friday.
The event runs through Saturday. Former President Donald Trump is slated to give closing remarks.
