
SAN ANTONIO (WBAP/KLIF News ) – Officials at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland placed the base on lockdown Tuesday morning after reports of shots fired outside the base.
The shots were heard in the southwest area of the base near Valley Hi and Truemper. JBSA sent a tweet with an “active shooter alert” around 10:00 a.m.
Just before 10:30 a.m. San Antonio Police said they had received the reports of shots fired off Medina Base Roads but officers had not found a scene.
The department said there is no active shooter situation nor a threat to the public.
JBSA and SAPD are still investigating the incident.
