Washington (WBAP/KLIF) – During a U.S. House committee hearing on gun control Thursday, one Republican lawmaker pulled out weapons.
Rep. Greg Steube of Florida was speaking by video during discussion on the Protecting Our Kids’Act when he held up several different gun. Among comments, Steube said, “Don’t let them fool you that they’re not attempting to take away your ability to purchase handguns.”
At one point Texas Rep. Shelia Jackson Lee asks, “Are those guns loaded,” to which Steube replies, “I’m in my house, I can do what I want.”
The bill which would increase the age for buying certain guns, would also prevent gun trafficking, and ban untraceable firearms passed in committee with no Republican votes.
