New Irving Police Chief Sworn in

IRVING (WBAP/KLIF) – The City of Irving officially has a new Police Chief.

Former Carrollton Police Chief Derrick Miller was officially sworn in as the Chief of Police in Irving on Tuesday.

Dallas County District Attorney John Creuzot called the swearing-in historic.

On his last day in Carrollton, the Chief said he was humbled to work with Carrollton PD for 30 years and is equally humbled to take over in Irving.

Today is officially my last day as Carrollton Police Chief. I’m humbled, grateful, and so very proud to have served this city for nearly 30 years. I’m equally humbled to be sworn in as @IrvingPD Chief next week.
