FRISCO (WBAP/KLIF) – A senior prank prompted canceled classes at a Frisco high school.

According to Frisco ISD, classes at memorial high school are canceled Thursday and Friday because of damage caused by vandalism during a senior prank. Frisco Police are working with the district to identify the students involved.

A letter from the district to parents said that students were hanging post-it notes in the hallways when things got out of control. The students caused thousands of dollars worth of damage, including destroyed furniture, the discharge of fire extinguishers, and paint on walls.

“The date and time of graduation is unchanged,” Frisco ISD said in a statement to WBAP/KLIF News. “May 20 is the last day of school in Frisco ISD. Both [Thursday] and [Friday] are half-days for high school students. Memorial High School students will not make up these half-days.

The damage is impacting the air quality inside the building, which led to classes being canceled.
