The family of the girl, who is Black, called the incident with the boy, who is white, a “racial issue.” “We know the history of the whip,” said the girl’s father, Dezerrea Nash to our media partner WFAA-TV,. “This is a racial issue.”
Forney, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – A dust-up between kids escalated to a 9-year old boy showing up at a Forney home with a whip.
The child is seen on ring camera pounding on the door and hitting the door with the whip twice. Homeowner Carrisa Nash told WFAA that she checked her camera before opening her door.
She screamed for him to get his “a**” off of her porch before she called the police.
The child, who lives across the street then leaves; but, when Nash’s huspand attempts to talk to the boy’s father the boy’s father draws a gun.. it went off narrowly missing his own daughter. He was arrested and charged with deadly conduct and bonded out of jail.
Forney Police tell the station that the incident may have stemmed from an ongoing case of bullying between Nash’s 9-year old daughter and the boy, though the story does not indicate who was being bullied.
