FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News ) – Fort Worth Police released surveillance video amid the search for two men accused in a recent attempted home invasion.
Investigators said on April 27 around 2:45 a.m., three or four armed men approached a house on Schwartz Avenue near NE 29th Street just west of 183 and tried to break in.
A home surveillance system shows one of the men breaking a rear door latch in the back of the house’s porch area, before pointing an AR-style piston into the house.
A second man approached the front door of the house and was also carrying an AK-style pistol.
Police said both men knocked on the front door of the house at different times for about 5 minutes. The man at the front door is seen on video kicking it several times and yelling “Police!”
Detectives believe they were attempting to commit a home invasion before they eventually ran from the house on foot.
The men are estimated to be in their early to late 20s. Anyone with information about their identities is asked to call robbery detectives at 817-392-4469.
