(WBAP/KLIF) — Voter fraud protections enacted by the Texas Legislature are being partially unwoven by a federal judge in San Antonio.

U.S. District Judge Xavier Rodriguez ordered Texas not to enforce the new law preventing election officials from mailing out millions of unsolicited ballots. Harris county sought during the 2020 election to send out more than 2-million Houston voters mail-in ballot applications, which the law aimed at preventing.
Texas was expected to appeal the decision, which comes just days before early voting begins for the March 1st Primary.
