TX House Candidate Upset that She Could Not Allow Students to Laugh at Trans Classmates

Texas (WBAP/KLIF) – The Dallas salon owner who gained national attention for defying COVID lockdown orders two years ago is running for a Texas House seat.

During a recent voters’ forum, Shelly Luther, a former teacher tried to make point about school choice, initially blasting the views of some Congressional lawmakers saying,

“They have AOC in Congress on the left, and what have done is become comfortable with what is acceptable in our society.”

Luther went on to say that she was “uncomfortable” with transgender students in her classroom and “not being able to allow other students to laugh at them.”

In mid-sentence, Luther pauses for about 5 seconds before she says, “Like other kids got in trouble for having transgender kids in my class, that’s why I vote for school choice.”
