The Electric Reliability Council of Texas has issued a Winter Weather Watch effective through Sunday, Feb. 6
Interim CEO Brad Jones says the watch is “the highest level of pre-event notification that ERCOT has.”
Jones added the agency has enough energy to cover the storm and if anyone experiences a power outage over the next few days it will be caused by the weather conditions not a lack of power.
ERCOT believes the highest expectancy for demand will be at 8 AM Friday morning.
