DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The man charged in the killing of Mesquite Police Sergeant Richard Houston is behind bars.
According to an arrest affidavit, Jamie Jaramillo shot himself after allegedly opening fire on Sgt. Houston last Friday outside a Mesquite grocery store.
The suspect was hospitalized and has since been released and is booked in the Dallas County jail. His bond is set at $2 million.
Raul Reyna with the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office says Jaramillo is being held in a cell by himself, away from other inmates.
