North Texas Boy Killed at Astroworld To Be Laid to Rest

(WBAP/KLIF) — Family and friends will pay their last respects to the North Texas youngster who was crushed to death and trampled during a massive crowd surge at the concert.

Ezra Blount was the 10th person to die from injuries sustained during Travis Scott’s performance. His aunt said the boy was an outgoing performer that loved to sing and dance. 9-year old Ezra, the youngest victim to die at the Astroworld Festival, will be laid to rest in North Texas this week.

The family set the funeral for 11am, Tuesday, at Inspiring Body of Christ Church in Dallas. WFAA says, the boy’s father, Treston Blount, had taken Ezra to the concert for a father-son bonding experience.

With Ezra on his shoulders, Treston lost consciousness during the crowd surge only to awake to find his son dead. The boy was the 10th victim to die from being trampled and crushed at the Houston festival during the performance of rapper Travis Scott.
