Texas (WBAP/KLIF) – A Texas doctor linked to a lawsuit against a Tarrant County hospital over the use of ivermectin has been suspended by the Southeast Texas hospital were she works, according to the Houston Chronicle.
Houston Methodist Hospital said in a statement that Dr. Mary Talley Bowden was “spreading harmful information about covid-19 and vaccines” in social media posts.
Court documents show that Bowden has testified about treating hundreds of COVID-19 patients ivermectin, though FDA guidelines warn against it.
The family of a Tarrant County man hospitalized with the virus sued Texas Health Hughely in Fort Worth to allow Bowden to treat him with the drug.
An order allowing Bowden to do so is on hold pending a review by a Texas appeals court.
