Governor Abbott, 10 State Governors to Visit Southern Border

AUSTIN (WBAP/KLIF) – Texas Governor Greg Abbott and 10 state governors will visit the Texas-Mexico border this week to address the current surge of migrant border crossings.

The Governor will also be joined by Texas Department of Public Safety Director Steve McCraw, Texas Division of Emergency Management Chief Nim Kidd, and Texas Military Department Brigadier General Monie R. Ulis, and National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd.

Governor Abbott, and other Republican leaders, blame Biden Administration policies like catch and release on the current border surge.

The Governor will be joined in Mission on Wednesday by Arizona Governor Doug Ducey, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, Idaho Governor Brad Little, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds, Montana Governor Greg Gianforte, Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, and Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon.
